2025 year is the "Year of International Peace and Trust"
As our great poet said, "Salam" means wishing for peace. The
path of peace and trust is the main principle of sustainable development and
friendly cooperation!
"The rapid development and glory of our country give great glory to
our recent history.
During the period of the Revival of the new era of the sovereign state,
the legal status of permanent neutrality of our Fatherland, which is
confidently advancing along the path of peace and trust, mutual understanding
between states and peoples, and the years that open up new opportunities for
further expansion of fruitful cooperation relations, come one after another.
The fate of any nation is inextricably linked with the teachings and
initiatives put forward by the head of state of that country. Because these
teachings form the basis of the country's domestic and foreign policy. Thanks
to the far-sighted policy of our beloved Hero Serdar, the principles of
goodwill and friendship that our ancestors have passed down from generation to
generation are reflected in the foreign policy of our country. Peace.
Trust. Trust - these words are used as
the key to sustainable development, establishing close, friendly cooperation
between states in the modern world. Our Neutral State promotes peace and trust
in the regional and international space, and promotes friendly cooperation.
These initiatives aimed at solving humanitarian issues are gaining
international recognition.
A clear example of this is the fact that on March 21, 2024, the UN General
Assembly, at the initiative of our Hero Arkadag, our Serdar, who is
successfully following the Heroic Path of Father Arkadag, unanimously declared 2025 as the "Year
of Peace and Trust" with 86 countries acting as co-authors. It is a great
honor for us that many UN member states support these initiatives, which shows
that the international initiatives put forward by our State are aimed at the
interests of common humanity and are of great importance for the whole world.
In the year of "Ocean of Wisdom Magtymguly Pragi", the 29th
anniversary of our Neutrality was also celebrated at a high level, becoming one
of the remarkable events. It also filled
its most recent history with achievements.
It is a proud event that, following the noble tradition of naming every
year modern and celebrating it with rich meaning, 2025 is being named the
"Year of International Peace and Trust" in our country, thanks to the
policy pursued by our Heroic Commander Arkadagly Heroic Commander.
Because, as our Arkadagly Hero Serdar noted, our Neutrality is a noble
principle that unites the peoples of the world for lofty goals and promotes
peace and friendship. The policy of Neutrality we are pursuing has a great
significance in further strengthening the prestige and status of our Sovereign
State on Earth. Currently, our State.
not only has chosen the path of peace in its foreign policy, but also
actively participates in positive solutions to various issues in the region and
international space. Our transport, water, energy, sports, parliamentary,
cultural and scientific diplomacy, founded on the political wisdom of our hero
Arkadag and successfully continued by our Arkadagly hero Serdar, fully confirms
this. In addition, exemplary work is being carried out to promote preventive diplomacy,
utilize the opportunities of neutrality, and develop a dialogue of a culture of
trust. The Turkmen model of neutrality is triumphant all over the world.
Let's look at some specific examples! Our country considers preventive
diplomacy as a tool for preventing conflicts.
In 2007, our hero Arkadag, guided by the principles of neutrality in
international relations, put forward the initiative to establish a Regional
Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, which would be an effective
structure in the UN peacekeeping operations. As a result, on December 10 of
that year, the headquarters of the first Regional Center for Preventive
Diplomacy for Central Asia in the history of the UN political mission was
solemnly opened in Ashgabat. With preventive diplomacy, which takes into
account important aspects of cooperation in modern conditions, effective work
has been carried out over the past period to ensure peace, stability, and
sustainable development in the Central Asian region.
Also, on October 11 of last year, an international forum entitled
"The Interconnection of Eras and Civilizations is the Basis of Peace and
Progress" was held in the capital under the chairmanship of our Arkadagly
hero Serdar. The International Forum,
held to popularize the works of the world thinker Magtymguly Praghi, which have
become a universal value, was attended by the heads of many friendly states and
high-ranking representatives, during which special attention was paid to the
importance of the great thinker's fundamental ideas about peace, justice,
humanism, friendship and brotherhood, and respect for all peoples in the
relations between states. This was a clear reflection of the growing importance
of the country's philosophy in international relations, which is based on the
achievements of cultural and scientific diplomacy, which the Turkmen people
conduct for the benefit of the triumph of the great ideals of human
civilization as a whole. There is an ancient philosophy of life that says
"Everything begins with trust." This is especially important in the
context of political relations, and friendly cooperation becomes perfect and
effective only when it is built on trust.
In this regard, at the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and
the State Security Council held on December 27 of last year, our Honorable
President emphasized the need to establish an Organizing State Commission to
hold ceremonies and events on the occasion of the Year of "International
Peace and Confidence", and noted that it would be expedient for this
commission to be headed by the People's Council of Turkmenistan.
Our Honorable President also stated that every effort would be made to
hold the events related to the Year of "International Peace and
Confidence", the 30th anniversary of our Neutrality and the 80th
anniversary of the founding of the United Nations on a high level. This is a
clear basis for achieving the goals of sustainable development and establishing
friendly cooperation along the path of peace and confidence.
In the Year of International Peace and Confidence, one of the main tasks
of us, the educational workers, is to widely promote the internal and foreign
policy based on the principles of international cooperation, trust and
friendship, and international initiatives for the benefit of all mankind.
