PEACE IS THE ESSENCE OF DEVELOPMENT
Thanks to the efforts of our esteemed
President and our Hero Arkadag, the
Turkmen people have opened another page in the glorious history of the country,
which is flourishing in peace. Following the tradition of celebrating each year in
our sovereign country with a slogan that reflects the lofty spirit of the
times, On the basis of the decision of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the year
2025 was declared as the "Year of International Peace and Trust"
unanimously adopted by the United Nations General Assembly at the initiative of
our country. This is a symbol of the continuation of state principles in our
beloved country.
As it is known, the fact that the slogans of 2025 announced at
the national and international level are inseparably connected with each other
testifies to the fact that the relations between Turkmenistan and the United
Nations are becoming more and more prosperous. The principle of neutrality of
our country's foreign policy strategy and the work of the United Nations
envisage ensuring peace, general well-being, and sustainable development
throughout the world. In this regard, it is important to note that the year of
international peace and trust marks the 30th anniversary of the permanent
neutrality of our country and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the
United Nations.

its logo. In the center of it, the image of a falcon bird holding the globe and
spreading its wings, which is equivalent to the double wings of the Turkmen
state, brings to mind our main values such as Independence and Neutrality. The
image of a growing green oak tree reminds us of qualities such as strength,
longevity, and charity. Our powerful state, which draws its strength from the
noble principles of our ancestors, is striving towards new heights of
development. The representation of our green flag and the UN flag in the center
of the symbol of the International Year of Peace and Trust informs about the
long-term friendly relations of our country based on positive cooperation with
the prestigious international organization. Today, Independent Turkmenistan,
adhering to the legal status of permanent Neutrality, strengthens relations
with many countries of the world, authoritative international organizations,
including those based on the principles of friendship and mutual trust in the
interests of world peace, security, and sustainable development.
Since ancient times, the Turkmen people have regarded the words
peace and trust as words that contain deep meaning. This is scientifically and
empirically proven in the book "Turkmenistan - the place of
neutrality" by our Hero Arkadag, and the views expressed about the
importance of peace and trust are fully confirmed. The book states: “The
happiness of mankind is a peaceful and prosperous life. We are walking the
national path of achieving peace through development and prove with our deeds
that this path is a very important path for humanity.”
In the peace-making country today, the message of friendship and
brotherhood is resounding with a loud voice. Even in the year of
"International Peace and Trust", our independent country will carry
out large-scale work to strengthen peace and security in the world.
